Cognitive dissonance theory:
One of my main research interests focuses broadly on cognitive dissonance theory, especially examining the minimal conditions for dissonance arousal. In this research, I study inconsistency as a form of arousal, the role of initial attitudes, and emotional arousal. I am also interested in the ways that exposure to information can generate cognitive dissonance. I try to link this topic to mainstream persuasion theories.

Effect of touch on compliance:
A second research interest focuses on the touch effect as a way to increase the likelihood of compliance with subsequent requests. In this work, I explore these areas: (1) the search for efficiency, and the minimal conditions for observing the acceptance effect; and (2) a general explanation that can account for the entire effect of touch.

Finally, recently I have also focused on the moral rebel effect and emotional arousal.
